Steve Buscemi has built a long career out of playing quirky, often unsettling characters. A quintessential everyman, he blends seamlessly with the character he is playing, and his ordinary appearance does not lead to many autograph seekers stopping him on the street. Even if they did recognize him, they might feel a little nervous about approaching him, since Buscemi tends to play characters with a bundle of neuroses, characters that range from jittery to flat-out scary. The real Buscemi is thoughtful and soft-spoken, but he’s doing nothing to distance himself from his reputation of eccentricity. Charlie Cox, the 28-year-old English actor best known for the movie “Stardust,” will have an opportunity to gain wider exposure as an unnamed recurring character on the HBO series “Boardwalk Empire.”
The show, which just concluded its first season, has been racking up accolades, with veteran character actor Steve Buscemi gaining particular recognition for his role as Enoch Thompson, better known as Nucky. “Paris Green” is the second-to-last episode of the first season of the HBO smash success, Boardwalk Empire. It is an episode where much is revealed, and many characters deal with their issues.
Maggie, played by Kelly Macdonald, faces up to her role of concubine to Nucky, played by the always wonderful Steve Buscemi. She looks inside herself after Nucky tells her that, “A good person wouldn’t be here right now.” Maggie takes this to heart and leaves Nucky. [Read more →]

The season of Boardwalk Empire is drawing to a close. Even though there are only a few episodes left, there is still plenty of drama as some major conflicts are on the horizon. The Italians have been flexing their muscles while trying to show Nucky who is boss. They stole his money and murdered Chalky’s worker.
